You must already be familiar with the string of Tech Nights that Heasman Steering and Suspension has held in the workshop recently. The invited club of the night was the Mercedes-Benz Club of NSW and again it was a spectacular night of great people, gorgeous cars and most importantly, the right information!

The members brought out a great variety of Mercs from the classic SL parked next to the Ferrari to the small group of AMG C63’s in the car park. It’s great to see a club with a wide range of models that span the ages. What many enjoy about the club is the opportunity to see the evolution of what was considered high-tech in their respective model years.

selectnine2015-HeasmanSteering-MercTechNight-5What Mercedes owners do pride themselves on is a high level of technical knowledge, something we also pride ourselves on at Heasmans. We had some Bilsteins on display for the owners to check out, showing them the distinct features of the German suspension. These in particular are for the brand new MK6 Golf, but we do carry items for early to late Mercedes Benz and AMG models.

selectnine2015-HeasmanSteering-MercTechNight-29Doug, the legend himself, ran owners through the ins and outs of the Heasmans way, from the TRON aligner machine to the different ways we can adjust suspension and what it does. Castor, camber and toe, if there was something the Mercedes Club didn’t already know about suspension, they were sure to walk away with that new knowledge in their arsenal.

Another display of technicality was the customer cars we have on display, many of which we are doing full custom work for, especially the Superlite SLC car which you will definitely see on our blog soon.

Adam’s Polishes Australia was also helping out on the night, making sure all the cars on display were of show quality. Amongst the cars on show were Selectnine’s widebody MK5 R32 Golf, an adorable Fiat Niki and a few cars you may have already seen around the shop such as the Mustang GT500 Eleanor replica and the usual Ferraris.
